Commercial Alarm Monitoring
Commercial Alarm Monitoring
The technology behind commercial alarm systems has advanced a lot. It is no longer enough to make a loud noise in the event there is a break-in.
Modern alarm systems no longer require local implementations or are unconnected. This equipment is much more reliable and provides greater security. Our clients are able to stay connected in real time with us through professional monitoring and a mobile app.
An Intrusion Alarm System's Components
Business alarm systems have many components. Each component plays an important part in a business alarm system. When they are properly combined, you can have a strong A1 commercial security service.
These are the major components of an alarm system:
Devices for detecting a crime
Detection devices are used to detect intruders entering your building. There are many types of commercial security systems, including:
- Contact switches - These can be installed on doors or windows to determine if they are closed or open. These can be used on exterior doors or windows. However, they can also be used inside the building.
- Motion detector - A motion detector is used to detect people inside a building. They are called "passive-infrared" detectors (PIR), and they activate when a person's body heat is emitted. They are usually installed throughout the property.
- Glass breakage detectors - These are usually installed around windows and glass doors at the perimeter of buildings. The alarm system activates in the event that someone breaks the glass.
Signaling devices
A signaling device activates when an intrusion is detected. It could be a siren or bell, or a visual device like a strobe lamp. Intruders will know that they have been detected. This can often prompt them to flee the scene. Notification is also sent to all people within the area of the intruder so that they can take appropriate action. Emergency services may be able to locate the building in alarm by using external strobe lights.
Keypads and Arming Stations
The alarm system's arming station turns the intrusion alarm system on and off. These stations are usually located in the building, near the exit doors. They allow the last person to arm the alarm. This is usually done with a code or a keypad on an arming station. This allows for more flexibility and advanced functionality such as arming only a portion of the building or providing system diagnostics.
Arming stations indicate whether the alarm is active or off and whether it is ready for activation. A keypad arming station, for example, will tell you if the door is open.
Control Equipment
All alarm activity is processed by the control panel of the business alarm network. It is also connected to all alarm devices, signalling devices, and arming stations. These control panels, which are computer-based computers, allow you to customize your alarm system.
Alarm Transmission
Alarm transmission equipment transmits an alert to professional monitoring and the authorities when it is activated. These messages can be sent via regular telephone lines or cellular devices.
Full Security System Integration
To further increase your security, you can integrate your business alarm system with other systems:
- Access Control: The Card Access Control System lets you manage who has access to which part of the building at what time.
- Fire Protection: Connect your ULC fire monitoring or smoke detector to the alarm transmission equipment so that the alarm can notify the fire department
- The Business Security Camera provides instant, reliable information on every security incident. Indoor and outdoor cameras have improved in quality. We can now see exactly what has triggered an alert and trigger the appropriate alarm response. This includes dispatching security personnel or triggering an alarm with authorities.
Our team of experts will help you set up an integrated alarm system. Our team of professionals will assist you in monitoring auxiliary devices such as generators and compressors. We will integrate any existing security equipment you have and make sure that you get the most from it.
Monitoring Services
A mobile app allows you to monitor the business from anywhere you are, even when you're not there. The video surveillance tools can be used and we will send you notifications with all the necessary information. This could include a view of who is inside your building, what doors are locked and whether or not the alarm system has been armed.
Professional monitoring is included in our security systems, which will keep an eye on your business 24 hours a day. You can be sure that your assets, buildings and people are protected even when you're away or asleep.
